Dog walked and fed, Shawn walked and fed (yogurt, strawberry kefir, protein powder and blueberries mixed together), brisket and pork belly cooking... now I need to shower/shave and I will be ready to celebrate.

Friends coming over today. Wife and I hit 35 year anniversary tomorrow.

Got the dog, gym. lawn trifecta done. 7 miles walked this morning.
The shower was glorious.

Soccer, steak, smokes and sluggery are my hopeful pursuits.

Yessir... Today's agenda is much ado about doing nothing. Did a whole lot yesterday.

I tip my hat to MACS. I double tip my hat to MACS wife (can you imagine putting up with this guy for 35 years?) I can't even imagine living with myself for, like, 24 hrs.

Watching the History Channel (one of my favorite channels). The underlining theme is alcohol. Fermentation, bottling, distribution, carbonation, refrigeration, grapes, wheat, grains, wine, scotch, whiskey, and so on. Alcohol played a huge part in human history beyond it's drunken effects.

Happy Father's Day to all Fathers out there and also to your Fathers.

I predict a nap in the near future A question on my mind: for tomorrw lunch is it going to be steak tips of order out for some Asian food. My vote is for order out. I have a craving for some hot and sour soup with scallion pancakes and a hot chicken curry dish. If my scalp doesn't sweat then it needs more hot sauce.

Rather than make a rash and an incredibly important decision, I might have to sleep on it.

Wife is taking me out today for a special lobster roll lunch at some fancy, dancy resort. Since neither of my daughters are in town this year for Father's Day, this is the best I can get. We'll zoom tomorrow iffn one daughter can get connected from the middle of the Mediterranean.

Good weekend folks
Day 3....
Anniversary shopping day. I got 4 days to figure this out. Of course I'll likely hit some local cigar shops as well to see what kind of father's day specials might be available. Also this is one of the last 2 days to enjoy the cooler ( low 80's) temps before a week of mid to high 90's. I absolutely hate heat.🥵 I'll take winter over summer any day. So I suppose I'll get the yard work done as well.

Same here...

"...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...A prolonged period of dangerously hot conditions with heat
index values at or exceeding 100 is forecast to start Monday and
persist through at least Friday.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and
central, northeast, northern, southern, and western West Virginia.

* WHEN...From Monday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events."

So all of WV.

At least the grass wont grow.

My wife and I will wait until maybe 45 min to an hour before dark to water the gardens. Prolly everyday this week.

Me too. Believe it or not, in winter I bundle up in layers, put on gloves, muffler, felt hat smoke 6 x 60s on the back deck. I love it. My dog is a Standard Poodle and 25 degrees is cruising temperature for him. He and I both prefer cold and we don’t like heat / humidity.

Well, four Lowes buckets of sifted sand back in the hole under the front porch, four more buckets of sifted out concrete/brick/rock rubble from the hole carried up the driveway and put in a washout. Six 50 pound bags of play sand for additional fill to get to the porch top level. Have forbid anyone ever hs to get to that line again, but they will only need to dig sand and any rocks smaller than my 1/2" screen.

It's 91° in the shade and I am bushed! I do not know how it was I could carry dozens and dozens of 90 pound sacks of of concrete in my younger days, prolly has a little to do with the current condition of my back. 😰

I use my 2 wheel dolly for almost everything that needs moved these days... my back would prolly be in much better condition if I had always used one.. 😟

Smart man.

When I wen to Lowes I used a basket not one of their heavy carts. It was hurting with 200 pounds of sand bags, but the carts are low and there was no way I was going to bend over to lift the bags into the pickup bed. It was a little bit of a lift from the basket. At home I backed the truck right up to the porch and dropped the bags down by the hole.
