Thank you everyone for the happy anniversary wishes. Spent a nice day in Mystic, did all the stiff plus the shopping thing. The wife insisted on Mystic Pizza for lunch. That might be the worst Pizza I've ever had, hands down. Though I'm from Jersey so it's hard to be objective when you have access to the best Pizza.
Went back to Foxwoods to deposit some more money. But ended up scoring at the craps table. Guy before me rolled for about 45 min. I rolled considerably less, but hit 5 numbers before going out. Out ahead and left it at that. Now I get to head back to Jersey this morning and highs of 95°, can't wait to sweat my nuts off

I had no idea Jersey was known for pizza. Thought bad MTV reality shows was the claim to fame

Random frustration for the day, site seems stuck in desktop mode on my phone. Need reading glasses now

Received the plumber's bill and it's paid in full. The bill was $1225 for a full day+ of work and materials. Best $1225 'evah!

Nothing like going into the lower garage and seeing a completely dry wall. 🍺

It turns out the F***er that installed the line used at least one length of thin wall/irrigation grade PVC. On the bright side, it has a larger bore so threading a PEX line is a bit easier.

JGRAZ, sounds like a good trip. I haven’t gambled much but I can play at the craps table and ignore the rest. It is an exciting game. Best wishes on your next 25 years.

Stay thirsty, my friends.

... It's a sleep deprived EEG test tomorrow at 8:00 AM. I wanted an appointment later in the day like after work but that wasn't happening....

Sounds like the fatigue/drowsiness study I was put through. I was only allowed to wear shorts and a t-shirt, nothing else (not even underwear). The room was about 60F. It had a bed, tv and chair. All I was allowed to do was sit there in the cold, watching tv.

Every 2 hours I was allowed to get into bed for 10 minutes to record my brain waves and to determine my level of "drowsiness" based on whether I fell asleep and how long it took for me to fall asleep.

I fell asleep the first six times, which was apparently so rare that they just sent me home like 10 hours early...

Day 10 without mowing.

Asked my wife if she thought that I should cut the grass.

She said, oh I think it would just kill it off. And I said, you act like that's a bad thing.

I feel bad for people whose gardens are suffering because it hasn't rained in days. For me personally though, it's nice to not have to mow all of the time.

I use my creek to water the garden...

Bout to go weedeat "the swamp". It's a section of land, alongside the creek, on the eastern edge of the yard. I cant even push mow it. Not bc it's steep, but bc it's kinda like a sandy bog.

It floods there a lot, doesn't get much sunlight, weeds/grass doesnt grow at a fast rate...

I weedeat it twice a year, toward the end of June and around October.

Well got home and promptly headed back out again. My pup is not doing well. My son said she wouldn't move this morning, after not really eating yesterday. Right before we got home she ended up with bloody diarrhea, not good, and felt very warm, not good. Emergency vet visit showed her temp at 105. Instant IV fluids and a battery of inconclusive test sent her to the hospital for a possible overnight stay. The fluids did drop her temp a couple of degrees but not enough and still nothing conclusive at the moment. As soon as we walked in she collapsed. That got her in without waiting at least. Getting seen now, hoping to know something soon.

Uff da. That's a kick in the nuts. Pets become members of the family in so many ways. It pains my heart to hear that any member of the family is suffering. My thoughts and prayers go out to your four legged family member and all those impacted.
