Bungling Biden Gets Cold Shoulder From Dems at MI Event, Descends to Lying, Sniffing, and Other Weirdness

Joe Biden went to Michigan on Friday to try to inject some life to his moribund campaign.

It already started out badly, with the news about who would be giving him the cold shoulder and not showing up:

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will not attend Biden's Michigan appearance on Friday. Sen. Gary Peters, a steadfast Biden supporter, and Rep. Elissa Slotkin, who is vying for Michigan’s open Senate seat, will also be absent. United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain is traveling for a conference and won't attend either.

That's a bad look for Biden right there; when they don't even bother to show up to stand next to you, that's pretty radioactive.

But he didn't help himself when he stopped at a restaurant and immediately went in for a sniff with some little kids: https://tinyurl.com/4r7aznxa

It isn't just the incoherence that's the problem; he has so many other issues and reasons why he should not be elected in 2024. This is one of them.

The second reason to vote against him? No matter how many times this is debunked, Biden keeps repeating the "fine people" lie: https://tinyurl.com/4xtrmxce

Third reason? He just can't stop being creepy with kids. He's in the middle of an event, right in the middle of his sentence, when he stops himself to home in on the child and ask how old the girl is, and talk about "No serious guys until you are 30":

He thinks that's funny. It's not. He also admitted to being "too old":

Yes, we know, Joe. You admit it, but you're still there, embarrassing yourself and us before the world. Time to exit stage left.

As he was getting ready to give the speech, we should note they've been doing something at his recent events -- putting up barriers on either side of the way to the stage. Why are they doing this suddenly at his events?

Joe Biden to Resume Framing Donald Trump as ‘Threat to Democracy’ After Assassination Attempt

President Joe Biden will reportedly continue to frame former President Donald Trump as a threat to democracy following the assassination attempt that nearly killed the former president.

The Biden campaign paused its attacks against Trump after the assassination attempt on Saturday, but those attacks are set to resume in Nevada on Tuesday, contradicting Biden’s calls for unity.

Biden, who will return to the campaign trail for the first time post-assassination attempt, plans to renew attacks on Trump as a “threat to democracy,” the New York Times reported:

And even as Mr. Biden focuses on the economy, his administration has made clear that it will continue to frame Mr. Trump as a threat to democracy and the civil liberties of Black and Latino Americans. But after a would-be assassin’s bullet grazed Mr. Trump’s ear at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Mr. Biden will be treading newly perilous ground.

Although the gunman had no known strongly held political beliefs, some Republicans have accused Mr. Biden’s rhetoric of contributing to the violence. Mr. Biden defended his descriptions of his rival on Friday, and Democrats have balked at the criticism from allies of a former president who warned there would be a “bloodbath” if he lost the election in November.

Many political strategists, for months, criticized the Biden campaign for making its central pitch to voters about how Trump is a threat to democracy, an issue that is outflanked by soaring costs, the economy, and the open southern border, polls show. A majority of independent voters believe Biden is a greater threat to democracy than Trump, according to an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll from May.

Concerns deepened about the viability of Biden’s pitch following the assassination attempt. Politicians on both sides of the aisle called for a de-escalation of inflammatory rhetoric, yet Biden’s plan to resume his well-worn attack defies his pledge to unify the nation.

“I want to speak to you tonight about the need for us to lower the temperature in our politics,” Biden claimed in a Sunday speech from the White House. “We’re neighbors. We’re friends, coworkers, citizens. Most importantly, we are fellow Americans, we must stand together.”

“We can’t allow this violence to be normalized,” Biden added. “I believe politics ought to be an arena for peaceful debate.”

Biden’s interview with Lester Holt was a catastrophic disaster, and we’ve got the lowlights…

Team Big Guy has their mop and bucket out, trying to clean up their mess after calling President Trump a “threat to democracy” and putting him in a “bullseye” just days before a very suspicious assassination attempt. Sadly for Biden’s handlers and nursemaids, their options for “clean up” are rather limited. They keep parading Joe out, which only makes things messier.

That’s exactly what went down when Joe sat down with NBC’s Lester Holt for an interview about the attempt on Trump’s life and Joe’s possible role, given his vile, nasty rhetoric. Needless to say, it didn’t go well for ol’ Joe. Despite Lester Holt’s attempt to help navigate Biden through this minefield, Joe still couldn’t keep up. Holt called him out for using “bullseye” about Trump just a week before the incident, and as usual, Biden couldn’t give a clear or coherent answer.

Instead, he bumbled, lied, and even blamed President Trump for the shooting. Typical Joe.

The Vigilant Fox:

BREAKING: NBC Unexpectedly CONFRONTS Biden on His Explosive Rhetoric Against Trump

This goes on for a full three minutes.

LESTER HOLT: “You called your opponent an existential threat. On a call a week ago, you said it’s time to put Trump in the bullseye.”

Watch how Biden responds. This is a disastrous moment, and Lester Holt knows it.

He tries to steer Biden toward the right answers, but Biden’s hate for Trump is hard-wired in his brain.

https://tinyurl.com/ybjy2uwj

Speaking of lies, Biden dropped a couple of whoppers. We’re surprised he didn’t throw in the “very fine people” hoax for good measure.

https://tinyurl.com/45s3m6bz

And just in case you missed it, Biden had one of the most telling Freudian slips ever. When Holt grilled him about using the word “bullseye,” Biden blurted out, “I didn’t say crosshairs.” Talk about an ironic mistake.

https://tinyurl.com/4sus4r7w

In this clip, Biden doesn’t even realize the head of the Secret Service—who he appointed—is a woman. Another lie, or just more confusion?

https://tinyurl.com/rcu5cf5j

Holt also pressed Biden about the disastrous debate, asking if he’d re-watched it to see how “confused” he looked. Biden, in true “dementia fashion,” got angry and lashed out.

https://tinyurl.com/32xpmav4

And just in case anyone needs a little reassurance that Biden will be in tip-top shape if he’s reelected, watch this. You might need an interpreter to decode what he’s saying, but at the end, he laughs in America’s face for even being concerned. So, there’s that…

Vince Coglianese:

HOLT: “If you were to have, continue to run and be officially nominated, what happens if you have another episode like we saw during the debate?”

BIDEN: “What happenuvanuh?”

HOLT: “Yeah, what happens if you have another performance on that par, on that level?”

BIDEN: “I don’t plana haf naformance onthalevel.”

https://tinyurl.com/5n7ewryr

Meanwhile, President Trump is thriving after being shot and is even giving Chris Wallace (not Chris Matthews) a tingle up and down his leg.

https://tinyurl.com/9weumubz

At some point, Team Biden really needs to consider how many more of these interviews they can let ol’ Joe do. He struggles to speak truthfully, understand questions, or respond thoughtfully. Right now, Biden is just reinforcing his disastrous debate performance with every new interview and giving Americans more reason not to trust him or his broken brain.

He obviously listened to "Dr." Jill or Hunter and toned down his constant rhetoric of being a threat to Democracy for a few days to go right back to it. His slow...mumbling...blinking...lights on nobody home look...isn't leadership. Its weak, ineffectual, demoralizing and down right embarrassing. Only because he's a Democrat, he's allowed to bumble and stumble along to finish out and run for another term. See the guy for what he is already. If he was a family member of YOURS??? ‘Poor Son of a B---h’: Biden Once Pitied an Older Politician Reluctant to Leave the Stage

As a senator, Biden could see when it was time for an elder to pass the torch.

Biden is now clinging to power when it’s obvious to all — except perhaps those related to him or dependent upon him for money and prestige — that he needs to step aside, Tom Galvin writes.

In the 1990s, I was a political journalist who covered the White House, Congress and elections. One of my annual chores was to attend the president’s State of the Union address. After watching the speech from the House Gallery, my fellow reporters and I would walk one flight of stairs down to Statuary Hall to gather with members of Congress to get their reaction and collect quotes for our stories. This practice continues to this day; lawmakers who want to comment to reporters all head to Statuary Hall.

After one address, I believe in 1994, one of the lawmakers I pigeonholed was Sen. Joe Biden, who was then in his early 50s. I’d interviewed him a few times before, but certainly not enough to expect him to lower his guard. We chatted about President Bill Clinton’s speech. And then the topic turned to Biden’s ambition to become chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. The then-holder of that office, Claiborne Pell, was in his late 70s and showing signs of the Parkinson’s disease that he’d later disclose.

I asked Biden if given Pell’s diminished capacity, he’d make a move to replace him. “That poor son of a bitch,” Biden replied. Pell was no longer up for the job, he told me, but like so many of his elderly colleagues, Pell couldn’t imagine a life outside Congress.

I was stunned by Biden’s comments. Not by his analysis of Pell, which was spot on. But what surprised me was Biden’s casual willingness to share candid thoughts with a reporter whom he didn’t know well and had no reason to trust. It was the type of indiscretion that has followed Biden to this day. In this case, it didn’t do any harm. I had no intention of writing about Pell. But it’s not every day a senator refers to a colleague with that kind of language, so the moment stayed with me.
Biden: 'I have command of all my faculties'

For years after, and especially when he ran for president, I’d cite the Pell story when explaining to friends or others that Biden wasn’t a typical politician. His lack of discipline, I’d argue, was a sign he’s as close to a “regular guy” as you’ll ever get in a presidential candidate. To me, his refusal to be a robot with pre-programmed talking points was an appealing attribute.

Now that Biden himself has acknowledged that age is catching up to him, that moment takes on new meaning. Biden is now clinging to power when it’s obvious to all — except perhaps those related to him or dependent upon him for money and prestige — that he needs to step aside. [Eds note: In response to a request for comment, White House spokesperson Andrew Bates provided an email statement reading: “Joe Biden is grateful to be in good health and proud to be using his experience and drive to build on the most successful record of any modern president.”]

In his resistance, Biden is not unusual. Many of us have friends, family, or co-workers who had to be told that they could no longer be a surgeon, accountant, therapist, or some other profession. It’s heartbreaking to watch a person lose what they see as their reason for being.

But that’s where the empathy should end. In the same way a U.S. senator should not serve when he’s in a diminished capacity, a president of the United States cannot be of diminished capacity. Clinging to power is clinging to power, whether it’s concealing a true medical state or giving a Jan. 6 speech that exhorts your followers to march to the Capitol to “fight like hell.” They may not be of the same magnitude, but both reflect a willingness to put one’s interests above what is right for the country.

It’s time for Biden to leave the stage.

He should immediately withdraw as the 2024 nominee and agree to have doctors assess whether he’s fit to serve the remaining months of his term. Fears of disruption is not an adequate excuse. One thing I’ve learned following politics is no one, least of all the paid political talking heads who clutter cable TV and social media, have a clue how those steps would scramble the 2024 election.

But that’s not the point. All of us who are outraged by Donald Trump’s careless handling of his presidency cannot and should not turn a blind eye when Biden and his team also behave recklessly.

Once upon a time, political machines could hide a president’s diminished capacity. A stroke left Woodrow Wilson enfeebled for the last 14 months of his presidency. And concealing Franklin D. Roosevelt’s declining health was considered a wartime necessity in the 1940s. Setting aside the reasoning behind those judgment calls, in an age of television and social media, it’s no longer possible to hide the state of the president’s health.

For Biden apologists who say that stepping aside will enable Trump to recapture the White House, I counter that the opposite is even more likely — that Biden’s insistence on running for reelection makes Trump’s election at least as likely, if not more likely. Biden could have avoided this, as indeed he hinted during the 2020 election. He could have signaled his intention to not seek reelection, clearing the field for an orderly process to pick the new Democrat standard-bearer.

If that had happened, Biden would have been lauded for putting his country first. Now, his stubbornness could tarnish a remarkable half-century of service to his country. He has a chance to salvage his legacy, but only if he bows to the reality that’s already obvious to most of the voters of this country.

When I see Biden now, his own words echo in my ears: “That poor son of a bitch.”

Biden Appears To Forget Name of ‘Black Man’ Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin in BET Interview

President Joe Biden appeared to forget the name of his own Secretary of Defense on Wednesday, referring to Lloyd Austin as the “Black man” in an interview with Black Entertainment Television (BET).

During the interview, Biden boasted about his record of appointing Black people in his administration and claimed he had received heat for doing so.

“It’s all about treating people with dignity,” he said. “For example, look at the heat I’m getting because I named a, uh, the secretary of defense, [the or a] Black man.”

He then incorrectly referred to Supreme Court Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson as just “Ketanji Brown,” before concluding, “I mean, because of the people I’ve named. It’s about making it clear that American history is Black history, Black history is American history, and it’s being built by it. That’s why we’re strong.”

The moment quickly went viral on social media, with users debating whether Biden referred to Austin as “the Black man” or “a Black man.”

Biden has previously received backlash for his remarks about Black voters and race.

In 2007, Biden apologized after describing Barack Obama as “the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean.”

In 2019, Biden received backlash for remarking that “poor kids” were “just as bright and just as talented as white kids,” while in 2020, he said Black voters who were not sure whether to vote for him were not Black.

“If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” he told radio host Charlamagne tha God, before later apologizing for the remark.

Biden has also received criticism for messing up several names in recent months, including Vice President Kamala Harris – who he referred to as “Vice President Trump” – and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who he introduced as “President Putin.”

Interesting comment I came across:

I loathe Joseph Biden. He has been a cancer to our Republic for over half a century. Everything he has ever done has been at the bidding of his party, always putting their power over any devotion to America first.

That said, he is still the President of the United States, as gruesome a reality as that may be. In what universe does Nancy Pelosi or any other swamp creature from the Democrat Party cesspool in Washington have the right to decide he must step down as president, simply because he is doing poorly in the polls? Is there not a single Democrat who can remind these monsters that we have a Constitution and a process by which our leaders are chosen? More importantly we have processes in place by which our leaders are likewise removed from office. Democrats have consistently abused those processes in their unabashed ongoing coup against present Trump, while he was in office, and now that he is running for office once again. Those efforts have alarmed and disturbed many decent Americans. The best among us believe in our country above party. As painful as it is to say this, I believe the effort to remove Joseph Biden from office without due process of the law is literally a coup against the sitting president and must be fought against as vigorously as we would fight against the coup of a president we love. These wild insurrections by Democrats against current President Biden and former President Donald Trump must stop. Democrats must obey the rule of law and honor the Constitution of the United States of America, or this nation is going to be in the same turbulent state it was in 164 years ago. And that is a price we simply cannot afford.

There is a constitutional process to remove a sitting president, and to ignore it would be the true “threat to democracy.”

Unfortunately there actually quite wrong.

The Constitution leaves the administration of the Presidential election to the states. In fact it says absolutely nothing about how one is chosen to be a candidate for office. It only states the minimum qualifications for a candidate and how the winner is chosen. Absent any specific method of specifying who can be on the ballot provided they meet the requirements it is left up to the states as to who is listed as a candidate.

Overtime most states have adapted a closed primary system whereby members of the individual parties in state vote for convention delegates. Those delegates from each state are in turn are expected to go to the conventions and vote for the candidate that won the primary. This is of course subject to the rules of the convention. Again the states have no say since the vote is not for a candidate but for delegates to go to a convention, solely administered by said party, and vote.

So absent any particular party by-law that mandates a delegate vote for a particular candidate the delegates vote according to the party by-laws in place at the time a convention vote is taken. The current rules of the Democratic nominating system generally forces pledged delegates to vote for whom they are pledged. However, it may be possible for a delegate to make a motion before the vote that releases all pledged delegates from that obligation and allow them to vote for whomever they wish. If the motion carries then it’s entirely possible that a person other than Biden emerges as the Democratic nominee and then is listed on each state’s ballot as the Democratic nominee.

So as they say, the fat lady hasn’t sung……
