My Dafodills spawned again!

This time there are 50 or more babies, compared to less than 20 from each prior spawn. I started to feed them 3x/day so they have a better chance of surviving.

So, that is the parents + 6 generations living in one corner of the aquarium. The older fish from prior spawns are still watched by mom and dad. The most amazing thing, is that their older siblings (prior spawns) work alongside the parents guarding the babies.

Cleaned out my FX6 canister filter today.
Took less than an hour. Zero spills I did not have even have to wipe the floor or glass.
H2O parameters are excellent. Another partial water change next week and they will breed again, if not sooner.

(Might have to get rid of the tank before we move away, in hopefully 60-90 days. Could then buy a 90 gallon or larger instead. Tough decision: Gonna be based on whether we find a place to rent or buy before or after we move out. Space could also be a factor and I just don't want to pay to move it- just to put it into storage- while things sift out..)

More babies, about 50 this time, as a result of the last filter cleanout and water change parameters. The siblings from prior spawns are supposed to work in a family unit to protect the babies, but I think I have one family member actually eating them from time to time. Not normal behavior at all.

Thank you.
It was either post that or ask which family member of Robert's was the culprit...

Have you decided to move it or get rid of it?

It's not too bad moving tanks and fish, not fun either. I have done it many times. If you're gonna do it, do it yourself bc I highly doubt movers will know how to care for them bf, or during, the move.
