Just had the garden fried trifecta: eggplant, zucchini & green tomatoes.

I think I need a nap. Going to finish myself off with pizza this evening...wife canned 32 pints of Marinara this week--it's gonna be good...

Yesterday I built a nice sized bonfire. I plan on lighting it this evening. Lows in the mid 50's tonight, so it will be a good evening for a campfire. Think I'm going to try one of those Aladino Corojo Reserva's...

Got my perfect draw tool in this morning. Ordered it Wednesday night, and it went from Irvine, California to my mailbox, in middle of nowhere West Virginia, in 2.5 days. Pretty damn good. USPS.

You guys have a good weekend.

Fixed the mower - had to replace the throttle cable and control assembly. Threw a new air filter in while I was in there. Mowed the lawn when I was done.

Wife said she needs new brakes and new tires. I had the brakes on a shelf so I went ahead and threw em on. Old ones still had many many years left to go. If they'd worn this far in 8 years, at least 6 years left on em. Whatever, replaced em anyhow. Tires have a full 1/4" of tread left on them so she's not getting new tires. On the test drive to bed the brakes I noticed a bit of a rumble coming from passenger rear, probly need to replace wheel bearings. I never drive her car so I never think of maintaining it.

Boy came up to me and asked if I could fix the flat tire on my old bike cause he likes to ride that more than his. Sure boy I'll teach you how to change a tire. He took the wheel off himself and brought it to me and said "I gotta go to a birthday party now" and hopped on his bike and rode away. He said he'll be back at 3pm sharp which is when we're leaving to go to the county fair for demolition derby. I feel like he timed that intentionally.

Went to the car wash, got the truck washed. Vacuumed the insides. Got an hour before we leave to go to the fair.

Mmmmm. Have not had a fried green tomato in a while. Eggplant and zucchini are tasty too.

When ever I plant a tomato, I try to make sure I get a bunch of green ones to my mom. One of her favorites.

Just home from sams. Did some bulk buying today. Another gorgeous day. And it isn't in the 90's.
