Went in at 0700, things were winding down at 4pm getting ready to leave I took a dump on the clock as is customary and the code blue alarms went off. So I went and dealt with that and was happy to get a couple hours OT. But then chit hit the fan after that and I didn't get out until 2300. 8 hours OT. FINALLY some doggone overtime. When I interviewed for the job that's something I told them, I'm used to getting at least 12 hours OT per paycheck and they said don't worry you'll get it. But I haven't been. It's been pretty much straight 40 for the past few months.

I worked 33 years for a large corporation where 10+ hour days were not uncommon. What is this OT you speak of?

Finished the 4 miler, had a cigar on the patio and took the '65 Vette out for a 20 mile romp. Recorded the early games and now on to the gym. Meeting the brothers and wives tonight for our monthly dinner date.

Good Sunday Afternoon to All!

Great to be back home from Missouri. Had a great visit with our younger sons and his lovely wife.

The drive home was must better than the trip going to Missouri, the harrowing part was though Atlanta, with rain and a flooded section of freeway. I was in the left lane with a small import (almost) attached to my rear bumper, driving through some standing water. The truck being fairly heavy plowed through the water, apparently the car behind was not, I saw it wobble left and right then nose into the jersey barrier. With the rain and a FULL freeway of aggressive Atlanta drivers, and a shoulder much narrower than a vehicle, I could not stop. Prayers the driver is OK.
