Are you running a dehumidifier to dry things out? We had a leaking dishwasher that got water under the wood floor. Our subfloor is virtually waterproof so we had two bug and very noisy dehumidifiers running for day to get the door dried out,

I live in Phoenix and the humidity is so low I am just not concerned about it. Any residual moisture will dissipate quickly on its own.

My hands are covered in cracks from the dryness in the air...

Monday morning folks. A nice 50 going to 79 on tap. Gonna get our meager Christmas lights up this afternoon. I always wait until after Thanksgiving.

Working the night shift. Ugh.

dangit Cheno...thought I'd buried all those nightmarish memories of working the night (graveyard) shift...last time was more than 30 years ago, during the Rodney King riots in 1992...my partner and I were on the roof tops of the Pacific Coast Campus of Long Beach City College, watching many businesses on fire in the city around us...

My cat (Jasper) caught a house mouse - little one, like 2 inches. I herd a chirp, chirp coming from the bathroom. Whet in to investigate and the cat must have found it, picked it up and put it in the tub to play with it.

I was able to grab it - he/she was fast but I caught it and flushed it down the toilet (RIP mouse). This is the 3rd mouse in two years. Where the frank are these coming from? Maybe because it's getting cold and they are seeking warm place and somehow get in from outside (shrug).

No harm, no foul other than the poor guy or girl mouse swimming in the sewage pipes under the roads and Jasper missing a play thing.

I heard he was low... 😟
