8 and 30 w/28%rh and a 91% chance of precip. 6 trucks out 3 in, today.

East coast union sissy boys, still aren't rolling.

Meanwhile in other news; Anything cigar accessory I order, regardless of vendor, comes from STG in Plano, TX. That's some fine logistics.

Morning peoples. Have to take the wife's car to Safelite to get her windshield replaced. Second repair from flying rocks in the last 2 months. The first was a complete headlight assembly. Freeway widening project is ongoing.

still raining, off and on...luckily it isn't a downpour, so we haven't had much flooding...

I may have to don some rain gear...I'm feeling the need to get out and stretch the lags...

Speaking of rain, we're supposed to get a lot of it this weekend.

In a 30 hour period from Saturday morning to Sunday evening they're calling for 2.72 inches of rain. Near 100% chance. (100,99,94)

Then, it's supposed to snow Sunday night. Lol

The ground is already saturated. In some places we have standing water in the yard. Creek is up but not too bad though.

It's going to flood for sure if we get that 2.72, or even 2.

Supposed to rain tomorrow. Weather is really nice right now and I should do some yardwork but gotta pick up the granddaughters in a couple hours so not enough time.

it's easy to slip into procrastination mode upon retirement. There are the mandatories: pick up grandkids, shop for groceries, doctor's appointments, grandkids' soccer games...everything else is kinda optional, even something that can be done in 30 minutes or so that have been postponed a time or two already...

I'm not sure, but I think I got more optional stuff done when I was still working...now there's a whole long list of "to do's"

Rain! Well, actually just sprinkling but we count it here. Thanks to Al for sending some leftovers.

When I was working week on week off schedule I used to say I got more done back when I worked 7 days a week than I do now with every other week off because there's no urgency to get things done.

Now I'm back to working 5-7 days a week and now there's simply no time to get things done and I fall behind on stuff.

-5/-16.
Been smart this week, avoiding the in and out of the cold for my one day a week, semi retired job.
I did volunteer to come in for any 2+ hour round trip to help out the team.
Got exactly that kind of run this morning. Be careful what you hope for- you might just get it.

My ticker starts sending we warning signals (a weird magnetic feeling in my chest) at 15 degrees. Once in the single digits, it feels more like an 18 month old is playfully stabbing me with a safety scissors.

I really am a dumbashe. I must have an inner death wish that is currently beyond my comprehension.

Have a good day, fellas.
