My once every 5 year NASCAR (mini) Rant.

Don't call yourselves the best drivers in the world if you can't drive in the rain.
Yes, the tires aren't meant to rain.
Yes, there is a higher chance of an accident.

It is about viewership and ratings though, isn't it?

Some ideas to help the sport. Three things to add, all at once.

-Drive in all weather.
-A shot of 100 proof bourbon at each pit stop.
-On a Figure 8 Track. (8track har har).

I'd watch.

The snow and freezing rain is done today. Was kinda sucky day outside - gusty winds, blowing snow that turned into freezing rain. Lost power for a couple hours.

I live a couple blocks from the hospital so if power goes out, our circuit gets priority to get it restored. Another positive... if I get dangerously hurt, I don't need an ambulance. Just toss me into a sled and drag me to the ER.

gonna take the granddaughters to the movies today...they have the day off from school for President's Day...they wanna see the new Paddington movie...

I have a vague memory of the Paddington character being popular with children when my kids were in elementary school...

I was unaware that Paddington was around when I was that age...

Mornin Tuesday folks. Golf with my brothers and my oldest grandson on the agenda this morning. The kid (26 named Richard after the old man) can hit it long but his short game sucks since he has only been golfing about a year. Reminds me of me at that age. Grip it and rip it but no control of where it's going.

Spring training is starting and the temps are in the 70-80s so the Canucks and half of Chicago are clogging things up. Indiana folks will be passing through but are welcome as long as they leave their weather at home.
