That is the pickle I’m in today. Wisconsin Supreme Court election.
Easy call for me: Schimel the conservative over Crawford, the full on Soros lib.

In November, voted for the Wisconsin Republican representative (Tony Weid). Representative meaning he is supposed to represent his district. The district is pink. What I don’t like is that he’s been representing Trump, not his people. When people are getting surly this early in a pink district, it doesn’t bode well for the mid term prospects of real conservatives, Republicans and Independent conservatives.

Each time I see the commercials showing Schimel is endorsed by Trump and Musk, I get that same indigestion feeling I got when I voted for Weid.

Is a vote for Schimel a vote for Schimel? Or is it a vote for Trump & Musk.

Do I want a continuation of a liberal majority in the state court? No.
Do I want to see Trump and Musk get credit for the win, do a victory lap, call it a mandate, creating even more destruction on the conservatives in the mid terms? Hell no.

Why is Musk a douche? Are you one of those weirdo's that doesn't like the fact he's exposing the corruption and saving taxpayer money?

He's a billionaire. Why the hell do you give one shit how many kids he has? They're not living off you.

Did you hear that Trump said people shouldn’t drink their own urine? It’s true. MAGA is against urine drinking.

Those numbers above were what those individuals gave, just like Musk as an individual gave $3mil, not $25mil. And you were the one who said “Sucks that one human is permitted to spend so much money on an election in a state he/she doesn't even live in.”

Sounds like the folks protesting that they didn’t hire that billionaire (Musk) in the presidential election, but their side had more billionaires supporting their candidate, so it’s all ok if it’s their side that wins thanks to the billionaires.

My guess is that Trump won’t need a third term.

He’ll start a war and use some “war powers” rule to never leave office.

Oh, and he would lov to start a war….

I think you are correct. I believe he will start a war quite soon, probably Iran, thinking he will be able to divert attention away from his wrecked economy.

It will work for about a week, and then the focus will come back. He can't escape the magnitude of the disaster he has created.

It is not NOT OK that any politician wins because of one person or persons donating millions. I'd have rather seen him stay out of the election and the liberal Justice lose. It's about what is best for our country, not your political analysis.

Musk gave $3 million directly to the Wisconsin GOP on top of his efforts through America PAC.

Like I said, “Musk as an individual

He endorsed Schimel in January and has donated $3 million to the Republican Party of Wisconsin to date. Groups linked to him, including Building America’s Future and his own America PAC, have also spent more than $17 million, according to the Brennan Center.

Elon Musk contributed over $25 million to support conservative candidate Brad Schimel in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race through several methods:

Direct Contributions to Schimel's Campaign:

Musk donated $3 million directly to Brad Schimel's campaign.
Journal Sentinel

Funding Independent Expenditure Groups:

He allocated an additional $16 million to two independent groups that supported Schimel.

Public Financial Incentives:

Musk offered financial incentives to voters who signed petitions opposing "activist judges," a move aimed at mobilizing support for Schimel.

He distributed $1 million checks to two Wisconsin voters during a town hall event, declaring them spokespeople for his political group.

I did ask Grok the same question. Grok told me to "Ask Grok to search further."
Didn't go there due to not knowing where that would send me (Chinese AI- DeepSeek?)

So, it WAS $25+ million.

"The targeting of state supreme courts by special interests and ultrawealthy individuals, some court observers say, can leave the public with the impression that justices are no different than any senator or representative or governor: devoted to serving their political allies. At that point, will court orders no longer carry the moral weight and respect needed to carry them out?"
