I was watching the Peoria Chiefs play in 1985 with my good pal Craig. The lightboard scrolled "Rip One Craig, Rip One Craig"

I guess my friend thought it was for him, so right when things got quiet he did just that. People 12 people down felt it reverberating through the aluminum bleachers.....

That's one of my best baseball memories....

The GAME IS the same. Its the jamokes that, own, play, and report on the game that has fugged it all up.

But THE GAME! Ah the game, is still the same. Yes it has evolved, the biggest evolution being pitching staffs with the specialist etc, but ya still play the same. You still bunt to get the guy over. Ya still work in and out to the hiters, changing speeds. A double play is still a beautiful thing to watch. (especailly when yer home team has Omar the Great at short!). An outfielder running down a ball in the gap. A perfectly executed hit and run. THATS Baseball. Thats THE GAME.....All the other BS, whiney pampered players, greedy fat owners, mindless ignorant media, is just that BS.

Dont lose sight of the GAME thru all the BS...Its still the GAME you love.
