have reg. xbox now and believe it to be superior to ps2. question will be how superior ps3 will be to xbox and if it justifies my switch next year. i'm inclined to think xbox360 will be plenty good for what i want esp with the back capatibility of some old classics...

ps has some exclusivity that would be nice to play (final fantasy, resident evil, etc.) but i don't mind the sacrifice...i sure as hell ain't owning both ms and sony systems.

I'd get a plain old X-Box. They are a hell of a system,(I've had one a couple years), and the games are getting cheaper. An adapter comes out next summer to let them play on the 360. Buy that time the 360's will be coming down in price although the games will still be outrageous. I've bought many systems over the years and the worst time to buy is when they are relativley new. They are at peak price, they have few games and the games are expensive.

Once we can, we are getting a 360. I am an Administrator at a gaming website were a few people have had the 360 for days now. They love it! I believe the 360 to be quite the superior machine. A 20 gig hard drive, wireless controllers, on/off button on the remote control, etc. And it will be backwards compatable with many of the existing xbox games. Not all, but more then plenty.

Trust me, I would have had one yesterday, but other things do indeed come first. To watch on the news and see these people waiting for 10+ hours outside and some paying over two hundred bucks to cut in line, is just crazy. We have two of the original boxes, one we plan on trading in and using the money for the new one.
