Tuck, I spent too many years playing with my Ouija board to not believe in the existence of evil beings. I've seen it... or more importantly "felt" it. It’s an internal, soul-rotting cold. The warmth of God is much nicer. Satan is a cunningly "simple" being. IIRC, he wanted to "force" us to worship God instead of "allowing" us to worship Him, right? Some times I pity him. Seems like his punishment was a bit harsh... he just had the wrong idea about how to do things. But then it's not my place to second-guess God's decisions.

Do you think God foresaw the fall of Satan from "angel" status?

I’m curious, do you believe in the “pre-existence”? I’m wondering if it’s a Mormon concept, or if other religions believe it too. It’s the belief that we existed in spirit, in heaven, before we were born into a mortal body. If I’m not mistaken, I think Mormons also believe we chose our parents, which I think is exclusive to their beliefs.

Yes I believe God foresaw the fall of Satan. God is all knowing, there is nothing He does not know, past, present or future, because He exists in all of them. He isn't bound by time as we know it.

No, I don't believe in our pre-existence. God is "eternal", He had no beginning, and will have no end. We are "immortal", the difference is we will have no end, but we had a beginning, when were conceived in the womb of our mother. God "knew" us before were conceived, as He knew of Satan's fall before it occured, but we began at conception.

No, we didn't choose our parents, God did.

While I have read the Book Of Morman, it has been years ago, and I'm afraid my memory is not what it used to be. So I'm not terribly knowledgable of all their teachings.
