They are beautiful little critters, and very mischevious, they get into everything...locked or unlocked!

That is just and old Southern Saying except substitute the slang "coon" for raccoon, but thought I would be hammered for it!

Raccons do keep things interesting as well!

My favorite "crazier than a...." has to be Crazier than a sh!-house Rat.

Not sure if they eat waffles though.

i had a friend as a kid that found a baby raccoon wandering on it's own. took it home...and cared for it. fed it seafood flavored catfood in a can ad gave it marshmallow's for treat's.

it was as friendly as a puppy!

he had it all the way through it's adulthood.

it was a neet experience to see....a baby raccoon following him around the neighborhood !

not sure what ever came of it?

once you raise it in captivity,

you can't release it in the wild!!

but they are cute and fun to hold as a young animal!and this baby coon slept with his dog! the dog was an old female collie that i guess just sort of took it in as a pup or orphan, but they got along great!

If you get one in the wild you can have it vaccinated and treated like a dog by a vet!

PS I had a couple of raccoons as pets!

they are cool!

this experience of mine was in the country,

but now...don't you have to have permit's?

it would be nice to have one now.

i think the vet shot's are to prevent distemper or rabies?? not sure.

but a baby shouldn't be too vulnerable to the illnesses unless they run wild should they?
