Mag, when I saw Choner's post it reminded me of this one. The 1st time I saw this one I about fell out of my seat from laughing so hard.

I've already made my favorite teams known, but I'm just glad that the season is upon us. I was talking at the local shop about somehow extending the season by moving the games off of Sunday and spreading them out. I'd like to see it happen. More NFL would be a good thing.

DMV - glad you topped this, I needed a good laugh!!

They should just get rid of the NBA and make the football season two months longer so it carries us into march madness. Or if they could bring the sportsmanship and purity of the game back to professional basketball then that would be good too...

Naw Robby. I've had season tickets since their return to the Coliseum. I went to games before LA as well. The reputation comes mostly from LA when they were there. Bad gang activity in LA. I sit about 20 rows above the guys in the (top) picture. (Which is 10 miles across the San Francisco Bay from the guys in the bottom pic).

I've seen a few fights here and there. I have sat near opposing team fans and only hear them get heckled a little. Even when they are winning.

I've been to stadiums where you wouldn't want to wear opposing colors...like Pittsburgh and Dallas. I think the same goes anywhere.....you go to a stadium and root for the opposing team, you will locate all the a$$holes in the stadium, regardless where you are.

I have never seen anyone toss stuff at the teams when they come into the stadium without getting ejected. I think the Oakland Coliseum Police, Alameda County Sheriff's Dept and the Coliseum Security, do a pretty good job and responding fast as heck to any problems.

When you are venturing into enemy territory wearing the colors of the opposing team, you are setting yourself up for finding trouble, no matter where you go to see a game.
Fortunately ticket prices are so high, it is out of reach for most a-holes to attend a professional football game.

Not so in Sandy Eggo. As a magnet city, whenever there's a game here, there's as many opposing fans as there are Charger fans. I've been to many Raider games when there were more Raider fans than Charger fans. Back in the days when you could bring your own beer, there were fights from before the game throughout the game. Fights that lasted 30 mins or more. Man,I'm glad those days are gone. BTW it kind of gets you down when you feel like you are at an away game in your own stadium. X

You are right X. Seems that Sandy Eggo is in sort of a football mix and match when it comes to fans. They have their dedicated fans but they do draw a lot of outside fans as well. Must be the weather.

rastusmcnair - Are you in Colorado? If so email me, I have some information about a shop that still has some VERY coveted smokes that nobody can get ever again!! Also I'm from Denver myself, and a HUGE Bronco fan!! Can't wait for MNF when Denver dishes it out to the Raiderettes...

Actually Chris, I wouldn't mind dishing it out to the Raiderettes, they're hot!!!

And I remember those days in Los Angeles where you better not be wearing anything else other then Silver and Black to the games. Those gangbangers were brutal.

Is it true? That the only way the Raider's will attend the Super Bowl this year, is if they buy there own tickets? Just wondering..........

SP,

They won't be buying their own tickets, they will be selling peanuts and cotton candy in section 204.
