Is there still that pond that everyone throws their goldfish into out there???

I haven't hiked those rocks for nearly 16 years...brother was stationed at Twenty Nine Palms then.

I went out there a day ahead of the fam about two or three years ago. The "pond" is still there (are you talking about the one that's near the arch?), but I'd be surprised if anything could survive in it for very long. It was a lot smaller than it appeared to be in pics I've seen. The wind was brutal that weekend, and it was freezing cold that night, so I went back into town the next morning and told them to cancel. It was still kind of cool, though...
