All tyrants should go. How's that for a general summary of how leftists think? It is true. Leftists are for equality and democracy. The means, however, are difficult and require a case-by-case study.

The Iraq case is confused by many here as a case of al-Qaeda terrorism (one al-Qaeda member receiving medical care does not make Hussein and bin Laden friends...sorry, folks, the CIA has not concluded there is a link) or, usually, as a chance for people to act out their violent fantasies in words. So many posts here are truly disturbing, taking killing to be a funny game. That is truly disturbing. Even if you think it is necessary, it should be taken up with some solemnity. Then again, that's the Bush attitude: shoot now, ask questions later.

No one supports Sadaam Hussein, and discussion would be better if we took that 'accusation' off the table. And this picture is doctored, obviously, but rereading the posts, I'm not sure everyone realizes that. Made me formulate an equation: Right Rage leads to Blindness of Many Sorts.
