how are you supposed to actually smoke a culebra....?and do they split into three single cigars?

I believe you are supposed to unravel the three cigars into singles and smoke them that way.

yes, unravel and smoke one at a time. what kind is it? I've smoked the Partagas Culebra (cuban), and it was pretty damn good. Strange, but good.

Agree with jdrabinski. Mine was a La Flor Dominicana Culebra. Had a couple of friends over...decent smoke and made for some interesting conversation.

Do they straighten out, or ash around like a crazy straw?

I have tried the Medusa as well. A unique cigar to say the least. untie those pieces of twine and you will have three oddly shaped cigars that are surprisingly packed with flavor. the ash is decent and they do, believe it or not burn straight. I am a fan and it is a nice smoke if you want a stare or two.

I aged a La Flor Dominicana culebra (won here) for about 3 months. Smoked all three braids (one at a time) while playing darts. Other than the fact that they looked like someone had sat on them, they were very good.

Fun to smoke in public. I had a guy offer me a cigar because he thought I sat on mine LOL.

I hope Robby was joking. Yes, you take them apart to smoke unless you are Monica Lewinsky.
