Read through all the old posts and if I missed this I apoligize. I have some cigars that are in their own individual cedar coffins. Is it best to age these in or out of the coffins. Any opinions or experience?

They tend to take up a good deal of space in your humidor...but if you have the space, why not leave them in? Like cello, tubes, tins, paper-wrap, boxes - it won't make a difference. 🙂

I disagree...Take them out of the coffin and put them in your humidor just like all the other cigars.

My 2 Cents.

What smithbw said ...

... and it will matter if it's an Odyssey, for example. That black laquer paint isn't good for your other cigars.

Hey ... didn't Robby just call HarleyDude a LAME-O?

i love the taste of lacquer in the morning. it adds to the taste of clear plastic from the last thing i cut with my band saw, before i clipped my cigar. the translucent plastic just doesn't measure up to the clear and 5/8 is better then 1/4" by a 1/8th.

I'd say coffin off. I have some others wrapped in wax paper. Any suggestions?
