Cigar In The Bottle
Fuente Fuente Forbidden X
Grand Pommier XS
The cigar unscrews from the bottom of the bottle ... very cool stuff.
It is a brandy made from apples, and over 100 different types of apples are used.
The information I found on it is as follows:
Upon first release, the Cigar in the Bottle will feature the Fuente Fuente Forbidden X cigar, the next level after the legendary Opus X, with seven different types of tobacco all grown on Chateau de la Fuente and fully hand rolled only by the very finest rollers in the Fuente factory.
Inside the patented glass cigar chamber is a built-in Humidipak humidor which will maintain perfect 70% humidification without any maintenance or loss of oils for about 3-4 years.
The drink is the absolute favorite of Carlos Fuente, Jr. It is called Calvados and is similar to Cognac. Instead of using grapes, however, Calvados is distilled exclusively from apples harvested and grown in the Normandy region of France. In France, Calvados is enjoyed not only for its delicate blend of aromas but also for its unique digestive properties as the perfect accompaniment before, during and after fine meals, chocolates and desserts.
At the present time, this level of Calvados can be found, if at all, in exclusive bars and restaurants in Paris and the French countryside.
The brand to be launched with Cigar in the Bottle, Grand Pommier XS, is truly the creme de la creme of Calvados. A step above XO, Grand Pommier XS is aged from 20-40 years with over 100 different varieties of apple blended together just to make one bottle.
It has a long finish on the palate and is truly exquisite. Because the primary elements are so rare, Cigar in the Bottle with the Forbidden X and Grand Pommier XS will be a limited production piece, featuring an elegant jewelry-grade black gift box with gold embossed printing.
Seven years in the making, so much time and care is required for each component that mid-to-late 2003 is our earliest projection for initial release. We anticipate that this product will be released next year and that a similar but slightly higher production XO version should be introduced in 2004.
Because contract negotiations on licensing and exclusive distribution channels are ongoing, we are unable to disclose any further details as yet.
