I have to keep asking myself that because I am constantly seeing the Mayorga's bid up to prices beyond what you'd pay elsewhere!!

Like the Robusto Maduro's. Current bid on these right now is $40.00. I can think of two places right off the top of my head that sell them for $34.99!! What gives??

It's a common thing at this website I assure you. People just get a little caught up in the bidding, that's all. Next time, they'll probable go for $19.95 (wouldn't surprise me a bit). Have fun!

for one, maybe these good people don't know of these other places, maybe their loyalty strays no further than this site. And for two, these cigars are so damn good, better than about anything twice that price that they figure they are getting a bargain anyway. And three, if you can get them elsewhere for $35 what do you care if they go for $100 here?

Well put Aberdeen...........If everyone would just quit giving a damn so often and go on your little merry way and not worry if some poor sap is paying almost retail. As for me, yes, time to time I almost get near retail....I can admit it. But yes, Mayorga's are damn fine for the price and if they were twice the price I think it would still be a decent deal!

Mayhap they have other bids in and so are taking advantage of the shipping advantage....economies of scale. Mayhap they would rather pay an extra $5, $10, $15 at a place where they are assured of quality customer service. Mayhap they were bought by someone who does not like the effort of shopping around and feels $2 / stick is a reasonable price.......maybe....just maybe.

Why do I care if someone spends more than retail on a box of cigars? Because I'd expext someone to tell me if I were doing the same.

As far as the customer loyalty thing goes, don't get me started. I've given a ****load of money to Cigars International already on their site as well as Cigar Bid so don't go there.

Relax, Iron Maiden. The topics you have mentioned are not touchy. They just have been covered in such great length before, that to address them again causes great pain for some of us. That is not your fault. You are just contributing with what you feel are good issues, and they are. We just like to have fun. Sometime the new comers feel the brunt of it.
