For those of you who want to boycott all French products, there is one, Cigar in the Bottle, that bucks the trend. Not only is Fuente the most pro-American cigar maker out there (born in U.S.A., member of United We Stand and has Old Glory imprinted on his OpusX ad in Cigar Aficionado), but according to www.grandpommier.com, the company that makes the Calvados in Normandy is dedicating the product to the American soldiers who kicked ass in WWII and is even donating a portion of the proceeds of its products, including Cigar in the Bottle, to the Disabled American Veterans fund as a way of saying thank you. I don't know about you, but there aren't too many American companies who would do that. Come to think of it, most American companies just want to scam us with faulty disclosures. Instead of Accounts Receivable, we get Accounts Deceivable! Anyway, if, and that's a big if, you can ever get your hands on cigar in the bottle (www.cigarinthebottle.com), do your duty and then go to heaven.

I never quite got the 'Boycott France' crap anyway. How much money did I spend last year on French products? Considering the multinational ownership of so many large companies,boycotting any goods touched by French hands could well be detrimental to American financial interests.But it's all part of the deception put forth by the current administration,we have to mindlessly believe CNN and Fox,independent thought and questioning of the intent and purposes of "our' government have become unpatriotic. As long as the money keeps rolling in to buy the prostiticians who 'represent' us,nothing will change.I just hope the moron who invented 'Freedom Fries' eats enough of them to clog his arteries.

Why boycott French products ... just because of what a few of their leaders were responsible for? Just as it is on our own country, I'm sure that not all the French people supported what their leaders drug their country through ...

My parents and younger brother just got back from Europe. They were a little concerned about negative attitudes toward Americans while in France, but it was the exact opposite. The French were extremely hospitable and the British were a bit rude (not all of them).

The people in Normandy in particular love Americans. I know. I've been there. We're like their heros. I've even had Calvados there. Great stuff, especially when it's been aged for 10 years or more. As far as boycotting, we have to realize that we'd be shutting down our own Macy's cosmetics counters if we stopped buying perfume from Paris--that's a lot of American employees who pay taxes. If we take that approach, are we risking a backlash of the rest of the world boycotting American products like Coca-Cola? Our economy is bad enough. We cigar smokers are cool anyway. Heck, we'll smoke Cubans, well, some of us will, even though its Commie government allowed the Soviets to station missiles there headed right for us!! I won't hold that against the Cuban people or the cigar makers. What I will hold against them is the fact that the quality and consistency of Cubans has gone down the toilet over the last 20 years. I heard Fuente is so anal about quality control that he has like 7 or 8 different people check each cigar, then sort them in each box by color, size and shape three times over. That way, no matter what box you get, they're all perfect. Anybody who says Fuentes are overpriced should get their taste buds examined.

How much will it cost? I have a better question: Who cares? It's gonna be a limited production collector's item anyway and will probably get more valuable over time like a fine wine. Why don't we guess the price and then, if the thing ever gets released and somebody can actually get one, we'll see who was right! You know it ain't gonna be cheap. Here's my guess: $350. Now I gotta tell wifey to put it on my Christmas list. I better be a good boy!!

I saw one of these at a local store. Thought,"that's slick marketing" and walked on. Guess I will have to go back for a closer look now.

What would happen if nations which disagree with American 'nation building' were to support a boycott of American goods ? I'm sure the French,Germans,and Israelis would step right up with weapons,nuclear plants,the real big ticket stuff.Not to mention the Red Army Corp.Maybe we should all eat more French cheese to prevent this.

We don't need to invade anybody to make them buy our stuff. All we have to do is introduce American TV and the commercials do the rest. Heck, I hear Starbucks Coffee shops are growing like locusts in the Middle East. I've got four Starbucks, two Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and two Seattle's Best coffee shops all within one square mile of me. I'm friggin surrounded. Good thing I like coffee almost as much as cigars!!!

GOCP --- I can say this, the bottles are not yet available, will not be until sometime next year ... no word on the price yet.
