Finially got t-shirts made for ISUCC this year, and we're happy with how they turned out. We're definatly going to make shirts again next year and were wondering if there was any interest by anyone here on the boards picking one up to help us out in a little fund raising.

we just got 25 this year for some of the members so we can get our name out around campus. Next year though we will have a new design and will post then for those that might be interested in getting one

How about having some ball hats made. They are relatively inexpensive to have made and last a lot longer than a t-shirts.

I was fortunate enough to receive one of these shirts and the ISUCC crew did a bang-up job with the design of these tees - great quality, too!

I encourage you all to step-up and support the ISUCC by purchasing some t-shirts here; Andrew and the ISUCC should be applauded for thumbing their noses at the 'powers-that-be' (ISU) who were determined for their efforts to fail. You should know that the ISUCC received no financial support from their university (unlike other ISU clubs) and did this entirely on their own efforts in reaching out to the industry.

IN ADDITION, I'll sweeten the offer here and am offering to send every person who PURCHASES AN ISUCC t-shirt a FREE CAO cap. So, c'mon people - step up and write some checks!

Jon,

They don't have any for sale, per Shua's post.

I'd gladly purchase one.

"You should know that the ISUCC received no financial support from their university (unlike other ISU clubs) and did this entirely on their own efforts in reaching out to the industry."

QUESTION: I don't understand this... Should the university buy their cigars??? I don't get financial support either... I buy my own cigars.
What do you mean by that statement???

It is my understanding that universities typically give 'approved' social clubs funds to get them off the ground - I know it was like that when I attended USC (back in the day). In this case, however, since the university most likely frowned upon a club that involved (do I daresay the dreaded word?) "SMOKING," the ISUCC received no support.

Like I said above... I'd gladly purchase one...

Get the presses running and start printing !!

Shua, coordinate w/ Jon on color of hat. This way we can all have a matching smoking outfit. LOL

Wow, I'm blown away by Jon again. One of these days he won't be able to top himself... I'm just waiting for that day to come. Anyone interested, expect shirts to be comming again in early september.

Low- We are the only club (to my knowledge) that is recognized by the university but not funded. This is not just for cigars but other expenses like printing mailing, press space in the university paper, money for trips, money to get spaces rented, etc.

Thanks for the support everyone on the board, I liked E's idea on donations so we might do that, the shirts are pretty cheap to make so whatever anyone wants to give $$/sticks will be gladly accepted in exchange for a t-shirt and now a kick a$$ CAO hat!

Life,

Better be careful and post a price for a donation...

Such as ... "For a min. donation of $XX, you will receive a t-shirt and a CAO cap". I don't think you can give a t-shirt and Jon will give a CAO cap for a $5 donation. Better check it out...

Low

Put up a posting with final details (amt, addy, etc)... I'm in...

Talk to Jon also about how long he will honor his "free hat" offer.

Alright well I immagine that the next shirts will be basticly the same except for the text on the back. I know changing the words around from club members to people who help us out won't be any big deal with the t-shirt place, so any suggestions on what should be on the shirts that donors would get are very welcome.
