I recently got these from a co-worker as a thank you for some tickets I won and gave to her. She says she brought the RyJ back from Mexico. I have heard that there are a lot of fakes out there, so I am curious if this one is real.

This is my first picture post so I hope it comes out alright.

Any help would be appreciated.

IMO, the RyJ is probably OK. I think it is an inexpensive machine made one that isn't usually counterfeited... but, who knows. Smoke it and let us know.

I am truely amazed that no one has said "Send it to me, I'll smoke it and tell you" yet.

To be totally honest with you, unless they were purchased at a 'La Casa Del Habanos' shop ... most likely they will be counterfeit. Unfortunatley, Mexico has one of the worse reputations for fakes ...

Look for the 'triple-cap', check the bands with the counterfeit ones they show on the CA website, check for the dark charcoal ash ... and the best way to tell ...

... is to smoke one!

Slim is correct, smoke it to find out for sure. I've had Authentic Packaging with bogus cigars. I had an experience this past year with an individually boxed Cohiba. The box, the band were real, but the cigar was short filler crap.
