Awwww ... come on now ...

... the other one was also very good shot. It was just done with another type of camera, and besides, that one showed more of the whole moon, and it had more of the orange color!

Both have their outstanding merits ...

.... I'm confused now ... when I looked at this (live) from my vantage point on the RIGHT Coast ... I could have sworn that the RIGHT side of the Moon was darkened by the eclipse .... NOT the lower half ...

- this may explain some of the twisted views from the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia ....

Jimmy is right. The picture is either sideways or its not the last eclipse. Nice pic though.

Okay..let me splain this pic. My wife told me the eclipse was happening so I grabbed my dig camera an headed out to my front driveway. I could see nothing but darkness and no moon at all. finally after 10 or 20 min of nothing I finally saw the pic above and snapped it. Heck it could have bee just the clouds passing over the moon darkening it. But a good excuse to get out of the house for a smoke LOL

What part of the country are you from? I'm in Northern California. Where I live it was above the horizon towards the East. If where you live, it was directly overhead, then it could be at any angle you want. I think. :>)
