Ok, I tried to do a search on this one and did not get but one return from 2000.
I was originally told that in the confines of smaller humidors, the relative humidity will pretty much migrate throughout evenly and rotating is not needed.
Any comments?

People are always telling me to rotate...

I've heard both sides, from very experienced smokers and tobacconists. So I can't figure out a conclusion...this may be the cello on/cello off debate in humidity.

I rotate my cigars every few months, but I don't have a real confidence why or that it is necessary.

I don't think it hurts to circulate the arrangement every now and then. I'm always changing the arrangement with the change in size and qty. of my stash. Besides, it's fun to play in them, isn't that the point?

If you smoke them fast rotating doesn't make any difference, but if you keep them for a while ( greater than 3 months ) then rotating makes sense. The ones closest to you humidifying device will definately get more moister than the others........Then you'll have to dry-box them before smoking.

Rotating is essential if for no other reason than to tell your wife that your not simply "playing" with your cigars, but performing a critical maintenance task.

Thanks for the tip wer, now i know what to tell my wife when she asks why i am always digging in my humis and coolers.... jer
