I moved back to Kansas City after 3 1/2 years in Puerto Rico. I no longer have a balcony and terrace so I had to transform my second bathroom into a smoking lounge. This wouldn't be possible without the help of my wonderful wife.

I'm aging a pot-stilled white rum with vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg and clove. It should be ready by Christmas.

I used Appleton Overproof White. I haven't been back to the Caribbean since moving from there six months ago.
