After reading a recent catalog touting these things I remembered having one buried in the 'Dor someplace. I dug it out of the bottom and smoked it with coffee this AM. Overall it's a pleasant smoke, mild, somewhat lacking in flavor. The one I smoked has some age on it so I don't know if it's mellowed over time or if it's true to the line. It's a good "pass the time" cigar but nothing exceptional IMO.

yep, i thought the same thing; a pleasant enough smoke but short in the flavor dept. they are sporting one of the mildest sungrown wrappers ive ever run across.

This is interesting in that I received a few sticks from the great penguin13 and I liked them well enough to order a 10-pack. Mine were the #220s--corona size. Felt they were very similar in flavor and to a Partagas ISOM corona. I don't know what the age was on these. Goes to show the very different palates here on the boards. I think I'll go smoke another just to be sure...

The "Negra Cubanas" are decent smokes and can be had for under $40. The book-type boxes they're packed in are cool, too. I've had a box in my coolador for about a year now. It may be time to bring them into the light.
The last box that I had bloomed at about 6 months.
