this was one great party ... I've never before smoked so many primo cigars in a single day ... nor, I think, have I ever spent a day with ax large group as this (approx 3 dozen guys) in which every single guy was a real class act ... I wasn't two steps in the door before a Fuente Don Carlos was gifted to me and that was only the beginning ... I've smoked cigars for a lot of years, but on Sat, I had the pleasure of smoking several I'd never before had the chance to try, including a rare cigar that Slimboli (who left his lord of discipline outfit home for the day and came as a really great guy ... you guys whould've been as blown away as I was ... jk, Slim ... jk ... really ... LOL) gave me that was between 15 and 20 years old ... he and I were chatting when I lit that smoke and almost absent-mindedly tood a puff ... I wonder if I looked half as amazed by the taste of that puppy as I felt ... what a damn fine cigar!! And considering that he cannot replace it at any price, what a great gesture of friendship on Slim's part to let me try it ...

A wonderful day, from morning until night ... I totally lost track of how many cigars I smoked, but THINK it to be about 9 or 10 ... and every single one, a super premium ... decadence indeed!

The cigar I gave Steve, that he is referring to ... was a 16 year old Armenter. It was the one last produced in 1987 in the Canary Island ... and was intended for European export. It had the Canary Island wrapper and Cuban filler and binder.

That doesn't top one what was gifted to me by one fine gentleman (who also gave me a Don Carlos and ISOM R&J (not sure which one, small in size and had a cedar wrap). He handed me a cigar that he couldn't remember the name, but he said it was a 60 years old German cigar, and came in a box that had has the Nazi seal on it. He said that the ones he gave out in the past ... many used a 'roach clip' to smoke it down 'til it disappeared.

... not sure when I'm going to smoke it, but man ... it's one UGLY cigar ... LOL!

SteveS --- I forgot to ask ...

... did you find time to smoke that Hemi SG, or did it find it's way to your 'special cigar' humidor?

LOL ... it's in with the "specials" ... but, fathers day is this next weekend and we've that BBQ event on the following Sat ... it'll be smoked one weekend or the other, I swear ...

What nobody mentioned so far was that some guy showed up to the herf in a tricked out Lamborghini. This guy had three bottles of nitrous oxide which put it over 1000 hp with the boost.

Pretty amazing car but I definitely think he was making up for something....

I dunno Chris ... his girlfriend was pretty hot! Maybe she was just with him for the money ... got to hand it to the guy though. He's about your age ... and quite the savy business man. He was sharp enough to hit it pretty big with a few hot investments and also he spearheaded a couple of start-up companies during the dot.com boom ...

BTW ... he told me the yearly insurance on his car was $30,000 ... YIKES!!!
