this is my humidor. it's not fancy. i built it to fill a spot in a closet. it's built out of foam insulation on the outside, and lacquered wood on the inside. i lined it with spanish cedar. i am currently building another for long term storage

What kind of wood did you use? How thick was your SC? How much foam insulation did you use (how thick)? Does the door seal?

i started with 1.5 inch foam. then a box inside it made out of 1/2 inch plywood. i put about 10 coats of varnish inside then. completely water proof. then i lined it all with spanish cedar. i bought nice stuff for this one. this 'dor holds a steady 64 degrees all year long ( in the town of bothell, just north of seattle). i use a couple of home made oasis's for humidity control. 50 percent each pg and distilled water. the one i am building currently i am using 1 inch foam for the insulation. and disassembled old cigar boxes for the lining. less money there for more money to stock it with
