Hi guys...

I just ordered some Drew Estates Pimp Sticks. Never smoked 'em but have heard some good things about them. Any of y'all smoked one? Looking for feedback... good or bad... Thanks

I like em. My dad likes em and they smell good.

The 5 I smoked burned nice and even. Not a kick your azz smoke but a good smooth one.

I generally don't like flavored cigars, flavored beer, or flavored wine, but I like Pimp Sticks. The Def Sea is a little too much for me, but the Pimps have just enough aromatic silliness added to make them interesting without being nauseating. My experience is that the wrappers tend to be a bit dry, so make sure they're fully rested and properly humidified before sparking one up.

Someone on these boards has something similar to this line:

"Nobody can tell me what is a good cigar for me (you); only you can know that."

That's about as simple as it gets. All our tastes are different; just try one or two and test the waters. I tested (courtesy of the great penguin) and found I didn't like. You are your best judge. Enjoy.

A mild stick in my opinion that has little or no flavor. That is the best I can say....

To me they are mild/med but they do have a fairly unique flavor that could appeal to you. I do not search them out BUT would smoke one if it came my way.

Cigarick --- the Pimp Sticks are not part of the Drew Estate 'flavored' line ...

... they are from the 'Natural' line ... and are made with exotic tobaccos from 'out of the norm' countries, and are not imbibed with any scents or flavorings ... other than the unusual tobaccos themselves.

It has to do with my love (and hate) of computers. Some time I feel like I am a "slave" to the microchip 😉

I will give 'em a shot and if I don't like 'em your on. Hell, I will probably be down for a trade even if I do like 'em.

Let me know what you are willing to trade for...

How about "Lots of variation, both in the cigar and in the tastes of the smoker". I've smoked three or four and think they are a nice change up.Drew Estates unusual blends of unflavored cigars are worth more than one try. And the new LVH is one of the better mix-fill cigars introduced in a while. Why the name, though, they are nothing like the original La Vieja Habanas?

If the Pimps are all natural, there's got to be something other than tobacco leaf in there.

I agree with cwilhelmi. Though I have not purchased any Pimp Sticks (thank goodness) I have smoked about half of the Natural line (Natural Sampler box) and they are very hard to draw on and burn very uneven, especially the figurados. Save your money, or better yet, go for some really primo cigars. One Padron 2000 maduro is worth 5 Natural cigars, IMHO

I had a dream that a large dog came into my yard and crapped. The yard was then mowed, including churning the crap in the cuttings. The cuttings were rolled in some leftover tree leaves from last fall into a double perfecto shape. I then proceeded to smoke the cigar...

To my horror I realized that it wasn't a dream but just seemed like it.

Oh well, you probably can sense my feelings on the Pimp Sticks. It might be unfair to say it was the worst smoke I have ever had but fortunately I can't remember any worse.

I should also add that I don't have a problem with the entire Drew Estate line. I have smoke several different cigars from them. Some I enjoyed, some I didn't. Have a box of Def Seas in a separate humidor that I get out every now and then for something different.

A pimp has to be just about the lowest scum on the street. I don't care how good or cheap they are I'm not buying or smoking anything called a pimp stick. That's kind of like buy or smoking Al Queda (sp?) sticks.
