Mine got away..literaly...our Beagle went into the water than just took off like a bat outa hell down the beach. First time we took her there. She went nuts with all the smells and of course she couldn't hear us 'cause you cant hear @$it at the beach so spent most of the morning chasing her down...was at San Luis pass last exit that goes to the beach from the Freeport side; felt like I chased her all the way to Freeport that day...took a rope next time...as she got older and lazier, she stopped running off like that and just enjoyed rolling in the dead fish instead.

You are into "catch and release" I hope. Those are not very tasty.

jd1, I've got mine trained to one of those high pitched dog whistles, they can hear it over the surf.
