Anyone out there tried the perdomo lusitania? The price seems reasonable enough. Any info would be a help. Thanks.

Picked up one a few weeks ago. Very reasonably priced and not a bad smoke. Will probably buy some more if I find them again. Held ash well as the picture shows.

I've had both the Torpedo and DC. Liked the DC much better, the torp seemed a little lightly packed and burned too hot. But you get what you pay for.

At its best, the Cuban Partagas Lusitania is one of the finest cigars ever produced. It annoyed me that the Perdomos borrowed the name for a very average cigar. Albert Argenti of Perdomo Cigars assured me on another BBS that the Perdomo Lusitanias are premium long filler. I found them to be long filler, but just an average cigar; nothing to compare with Perdomo's best. I believe the Pre-Embargo Cuban Counterfeits that Perdomo is still producing are a far superior cigar for about the same money.

I smoked the robusto size and would agree with pj94....a little loose/hot. A middle of the road, average cigar.

What Steve*R said...

I think it is horrible that Perdomo would do such a thing. It is an obvious ploy to take advantage of a person who may not have much cigar experience.

Therefore, I never tried the gar and never will!!
