Hey everyone! The company I work for was just sold to a Canadian owner who sent me a box of Cohiba Lanceros. After doing some research I found that they were produced in early 1997. I'm finding them listed at 38.00 a stick American. This would put the box at 950.00 - could this be true! I smoked 2 and put the rest to sleep. They are to date the best I've smoked. I have to travel up north in a few weeks. Concidering the Cohiba, can anyone recommend another brand to try that won't kill the pocketbook! Thanks All

Good luck in Canada. Canada and the UK have some of the highest tax rates in the world. That said, you should try the Cohiba Siglo line, these are some of the finest smokes in the world.

Partagas Series D#4 and H Upmann Magnum 46 are 2 of the best ISOM's I've had and I live in Canada. They can be had for around $15 US and $18 US respectively. Cohiba is a nice smoke, but way over priced. These 2 smokes along with a lot others would beat most Cohiba's in taste and most of all price.

I was in Canada this past spring and went to the Cuban Gov't authorized store and paid $30.33 for a Lancero this calculates to about $750 per box. Also paid $30.37 for a Bolivar Churchill Tube, $25.02 for a Bolivar Corona Gigante and $27.68 for a Partagas Lusitania Cabinet. So if you guys have a cheaper place to buy ISOM's email be at pajama at epix dot net. Thanks

It's your money...

Use a search engine and type "Cuban Cigars", you'll find 'em!

I enjoyed a Cohiba Limited Edition a couple weeks back on my birthday, which had been resting at least a year in my humidor. Best cigar I've ever smoked, and truly a work of art in its construction. I like it even better than the Partagas Limited Edition, which is also memorable. Thankfully, my supply of these was gifted to me--I can't imagine attempting to pay the going price. But if you want to treat yourself, you can't go wrong here.
