I was out last night for the evening at the Biltmore Resort here in Phoenix. In the bar I saw a humidor with a good selection of gars.... I had a Mac Rubusto with me but noticed an AF OpusX in the case and started to drool... I asked the price and was quoted... "that cigar runs $72.00 about $75.00 with tax" I quit drooling and got cotton mouth...
Then I went outside and smoked my MAC and enjoyed it..

It's sad when they way over price something that is as wonderful to look at as it is to smoke one. It's also amazing that they don't realize that when they mark something up like that they drive away potential customer's that will eventually get online and buy the same product at a fraction of what they are selling it for. They care more about making a quick dollar than having repeat customers.

I suspect that if you placed this info over at CF, they might contact that place and raise hell with them. That is gouging defined. The REAL crappy thing is there will be someone that will actually pay that for it.

I doubt seriously if they are actual Fuente dealers. They probably just got a supply from someone else. In that case, they can charge what the market will bear. If they were a Fuente dealer, this would not be permitted.

While this price is extremely high, you have to understand that this is a bar, not a smoke shop. For the most part, all prices will be extremely inflated at a bar. It comes down to supply and demand when you're out drinking. They know that somebody will pay that price eventually, so why not charge it?

And, this bar is more than likely not an authorized OpusX dealer, so what can Fuente do other than ask the establishment where they got it?

That sort of thing inspires me to give away all the cigars in my pocket to anyone considering smoking one.I also like trading youngsters real cigars for their tipped crap or other POS pseudo-cigars,then grinding the rocket into the gutter.
