Here is a photo of the 'Salsa' that I reviewed on 'Cigars & Related' yesterday ...

... what I was trying to capture, was the "brilliant sheen to the cigar ... almost an iridescence to the dark, oily wrapper" that I mentioned.

One thing that I didn't mention, was how much this cigar looked like a Padron, in it's construction.

The camera is a 'cheapie' ... but I hope this 'somewhat' shows what I was referring to ... and I didn't use PhotoShop to 'retouch' this photo in any way.

I had one 2 days ago, very nice cigar. Unfortunatly I was unable to finish all of it and decided to disect it to look at the filler and binder. I must say being my first cigar I disected the filler looked excellent and the way it was rolled was impecable. I am sadned that I had to leave it unfinished as it was a great smoke. Looks good too. Nice picture.

mrsanmrfox --- I believe you are the first one ever to have dissected a Bucanero, and to have proclaimed the results here on the CigarBid fourms ...

... sorry to hear that you had to do it, and I thank you for letting us all know about your findings on the filler and binder construction ...

... but I wasn't surprised!

BTW --- it's a decent photo ... but it really didn't it do it justice, as far as capturing the 'shine' it had going on in real life ...

Oh ... and one more thing that no one here as mentioned yet ... the origin of the filler and binder, and what wrapper was used ...

The 'Salsa' incorporates a dark Habano's Criollo wrapper (that has a slight red glow), and it surrounds very fine Nicaraguan, Dominican and Honduras fillers and binders.

This brings to life ... one very smooth, full-bodied plus cigar, and you lovers of the Criollo wrapper ... take notice!
