i have tried to understand the problem some guys have with smoking in the house or buying too many cigars and all sorts of wife problems regarding cigars.
this is a picture of a pair of married, egg laying (her), and baby raising gouldian finches.
they hang in a cage next to a male canary. i hang a bath for the canary and the finches. in over a year, the finches never bathed. every other day i give the canary and the finches something in their treat cups. canary eats, finches don't. canary flies around his cage, sometimes tapping the swing and playing with it. the finches sit.
the finch wife died. no real way to tell why it died with out a forensic exam, but their life span isn't that long, so it just died.
within a few weeks, the male finch is taking long splattering baths. he goes to the treat cup when he sees me fill it. he jumps around in the cage and goes from perch to perch. he flaps his wings a lot for excersize and play. he cheaps and chirps a lot now.
is their a message to be learned?
