Why do people bid WAY over a price that can be had all day long on other sites?
Example: AF Curly Head Deluxe at $55/box; available all day long at $43.95 on other sites.

Some people get caught up in the game, or don't do their homework.b.t.w.Screw the other web sites,Don't forget our hosts of the message boards

Why ask why ???

Do a 'search the boards' ... first, click on 'all messages' ... then type in

'overbidders' ... you'll get over 90 threads and posts ---
'overbidding' ... you'll get over 119 threads and posts ---
'Bidding' ... will get you over 586 responses (not all have to to with the above two) ---

And ... if you just type 'WHY' ... you'll get 2320 threads and posts of people asking 'why' ...

That should give MORE than you you ever wanted to know about 'cigars and related ' ... and then some!

if you Type in "Whining".. it will take you to the end of the Al Gore Internet Connection!!!!

Think about it. If there question weren't asked over and over then there wouldn't be many people coming to the fourms often and that could cause a decline in business for cbid. If they have a decline in business we could all stop smoking cigars and letting the cigar making countries go poor. If we let the cigar making countries go poor revolutions could start up and put everyone at war. With everyone at war there would be WWIII and weapons of mass destruction could be used and then the world as we know is over. I an not going to sit here and let you do that and cause the end of the world as we know it!

statelandman........It is helpful to remember that you always need to be very cautious about attempting to apply parameters like reason.....logic.....intellect.....etc., to the activity at a cigar auction! All parameters of this type impede efforts at understanding what in God's Name is going through the mind of the bidder (in my case, unfortunately, nothing much going through a lot of the time)!

That said......welcome aboard. You're with friends here and you'll find these folks go out of their way to help you. I've saved a lot of money as well as avoided some really horrendous to fatal errors by browsing the posts, and asking questions, on this board. Light up, relax, and enjoy.
