I just stopped into the CI shop in Bethlehem yesterday. For the last 10 days they've been working their ****'s off. Musicfest, the annual 10 day music festival held in Bethlehem, must have had 30,000 people or more each day passing by and through the shop.Yet every time I stopped by the crew at CI was courtious, helpful, and patient with every customer that came their way. Newbies, Old Dogs, and everyone in between was treated like a special and valued customer. Great job guys! Now take a deep breath and back to work!

It is amusing to me that they are located there. My family came over from Germany on the late 1700's and settled near there. My dad grew up in the 30's right in downtown there, and although I wasn't born there, I have visited Bethlehem since the late 60's. I remember the Exorcist playing in the theatre one visit in the '70's.

We were planning one last family visit next month and I was going to visit, but my dad is too ill.

Was looking forward to the Moravian bookstore, some Red Lantern Cheesesteaks, Scrapple, Tasty Cakes, Birch Beer, Bergy's Mall in Wassergas, Roadside America, Cheese store in Nazareth.

Dangit - maybe next year.

Oh.. and the Shoo-fly-pie,Sticky Buns, and some Funny Cake!

If You're coming up I'm pretty sure there's a herf lined up for the weekend of the Celtic Festival in Sept. The festival itself is a blast, and a CI herf too!

Mr.T, Although I'm not a native, a son of the golden west actually, I agree E.Pa. can be a pretty nice place. I'll pass on the scrapple,though!

Thanks Ralph! We appreciate your kind words. I apologize for not recognizing you right away. I met and talked to so many people during those 10 days, I probably wouldn't have noticed my own parents, had they walked in. Luckily, you caught me during my lunch break!

For those of You outside Pa. scrapple is basically fried bird suet soaked in maple syrup. Yum-Yum.

I visited the CI store a couple of days before musicfest. got the picture to prove it! I didn't make it over to meet the CBid folks but I'm hoping to make it up there for one of the herfs. Are the dates of the next herf set?
