latin name "tree de trumpetes"

the stake is 6' long and is in the ground almost a foot. the top of the tree is further from the ground then the top of my head. (on a level playing field)

These are beautiful plants. I got one as a starter from a friend. It is currently about 2.5ft tall. I have seen them as big as yours and covered with huge flowers. They do well in Houston, but are difficult to find at local nurseries. I tell ya Rick, you've got more in common with Thoreau than you think (green thumb, bird lover, rabble rousing outsider:)
