Enjoying a Cohiba EL Maduro (bought at the Havana Club, a La Casa Del Habano, in Cozumel) on the balcony of our condo at the Sunset Fisherman's Resort in the Playacar complex of Playa Del Carmen ...

IF I might be so bold, how were the prices down there? Being a resort I figure the skys the limit, and when your from a ISOM deprived country they know they've got you.

mrkmitch --- 95% of the shops there sold counterfeit Cuban cigars ... and they were ALL over the place, everywhere you went ... on one street they had three toabacco shops in a row ... LOL!

The only place you could trust is the one in Cozumel (mentioned above). A Cohiba Esplendido sold for $352 pesos ($32USD) ...

I met up with a CF friend (he lives there) that Morgan's (on 5th Ave.) was another place that could also be trusted (although not a La Casa Del Habanos) ... and I saw a LOT of really good looking cigars there.

... the Sunset Fisherman's didn't sell any cigars, in fact, their were no shops there at all. This was an 'all-inclusive' resort ... so everything was included; meals, drinks, kayaks, bikes, snorkel gear, etc.

The famous Playa Del Carmen '5th Ave' was only a ten minute walk away ... any you could get anything you wanted there.

You a diver too? I'm a regular @ Cozumel AND there are counterfeit gars everywhere, I always bring my own boxes with me. All those big ships come in and dock and they are just full of suckers.
