First of all, if you haven't purchased any of these, absolutely do not do so! They are horrible! Embalming fluid and putrification flavors! I don't understand how such a wonderful, I mean terrible, cigar can have such full, I mean no, flavor. That said, I have noticed that some of the ones I get, purely to protect the public you understand, have different bands. Some bands say CAO Extreme, some say CAO L'Anniversaire. I realize they are L'Annerversaire eXtremes but why the different bands? Different years, lots etc?

Well, there are several different types of CAO L'Anniveraire cigars. There is the eXtreme. There is the Cameroon. There is the Maduro. There is the box pressed Maduro Tubo. All are in my opinion medium/full bodied and all of them stink to high heaven. They are so bad, that I'm willing to take these dog rockets off anybody's hands if they were unfortunate enough to get any. I have a total of about 50 of these in stock (I'm not sure how I got so many horrible cigars.) But, hey.... since I got 'em... might as well smoke 'em... and yours too. 🙂

I realize that there are several different L'Anniversaire cigars but I have bought eXtreme's here on cigar bid that were banded differently. Some bands say CAO eXtreme some say CAO L'Anniversaire. Both have been bought, shipped ad invoiced as eXtreme's

It is my understanding that they have recently begun rebanding all the lines because of the confusion of having l'anni on all the labels. There also was some confusion around the cammies having a gold label and being refered to as 'golds' when there already is a 'gold' line.

As one who actually looks at posts to see what people think about certain cigars, I have to say, this thread isn't the most helpful. While I think you all are being jestful, I have to wonder.

The question on the band variation is serious. The cigar review is a running joke on cbid. People give obviously fake terrible reviews on cigars that they are buying at what they think is a very good price.

Check. I figured as much, and reacted accordingly (5 pack of CAO extreme on it's way...)
