i actually post something about cigars.

i was at the paiute tribal cigar shop and i bought a pinar 2003. i can't remember off hand the distributer or manufacturer, but the sign in the store and on the box said legal cuban cigars. these cigars are made from pre-embargo cuban leaves and designated by the bureau of ATF as legal. the one i bought was made with 100% cuban leaf. they , whoever they are, make some different brands and sizes and a call to the rep infomed me of the percent of cuban leaf depended on the particular model i bought. the leaves are shipped to ecuador and the cigars are made there and shipped back here.

the paiute's don't sell cigars on line, so they are not a competitor to my cbid family.

the cigar was about a 50 x 6 1/2, dark wrapper and had the typical cuban ash. i don't know what they would sell for in california because of the taxes here, but the cigar cost a little under $8.00. the first two or three puffs were harsh, but after that the cigar smoked nicely.

i'm not really a fan of isom cigars, because i can buy some very good cigars here for a lot less, but it was an interesting smoke.

slimboli, what say you about this cagar?

Do you mean the Pinar 3000? There is a shop near me that has these. Torofina, Corona, El feroz, Capa Colorado,Belicoso fina, and Churchill. Bought two, smoked one. Not bad, but the prices were a little steep, the corona was the cheapest at 11.50/stick.
Maybe I'll go back and get a couple more in ones and twos and let them nap.

that's the one. i don't remember the percent of cuban tobacco in each one, but it was a good smoke. i don't know where you live, but at the reservation smoke shop, there are no taxes

not the same cigar as you mentioned. i'll search for the mfg/dist name and post it.

i'm a cheap sob when it comes to buying cigars, but it was worth the 8 bucks.
