I bought a bunch of these some months back and when I recieved them I tried them and my responce was I put them up for sale Dirt cheap and those that I haven't sold I have had sleeping Then I recieved a couple in a trade awhile back and them setting up front of my Trade Shelf in my Larde Humi. So today I grabed one becauswe I didn't want to light up a GOOD Cigar because I was working and I fired it up.To my extreme surprise it wasn't to bad infact I have another one going right now just to make sure that I was awake and not dreaming when I smoked the 1st one..Leaving these to sleep in the Buff (No Celo) seems to have helped them beyound belief..These were in the Buff because thats the way they were sent to me, I normally always leave the Celo on mine but now I am beginning to wonder if that is the right thing to do.?? I got a box in an auction a while back. The first one was not that good, so I did the same thing, I put them up for a while and then when I got to a point where I wanted a cigar, but was working on a bulldozer, I didn't want a good one, so I grabbed one. Needless to say, over time, it has been my cigar for yard work and working on equipment. LOL!
I definitely think it is one of those that needs time away. 🙂

BTW, got the package. Not sure which to light first. 🙂

Hahahaahh Glad it made it there okay Hope ya Enjoy. And I think that if a person buyes these TH really cheap and puts them to sleep for 6 mo. to a year they might just turn out to be a fair Cigar..I'm going to smoke more of mine I think I have about 3 boxes worth.LOL..

Tin, weren't we gonna work on our spelling to keep us out of trouble? Thomas Hines or Hinds? LOL, just playing with you.

I have smoked new ones, and old ones, just doesn't do it for me.

I've tried them and they were immediately deemed as cheap givaways to the moochers who wouldn't know any better.

Which band? I had some of the green bands (Honduran?). Nothing I could do over the course of a year could help these poor bastards. Worst smoke ever. Even with the wide variety of tastes out there, I could never understand those that liked these. Perhaps the other varieties are not so bad?

IMHO,
The original release, of the Honduran Thomas Hinds, was not so bad. Later Releases sucked so bad, that I couldn't stand them.

Life is too short to age bad cigars.

My bad
I misspoke and did not use current politically correct “cigar lingo” in this case. I will try again:.

I, too, have seen an enormous taste difference in the TH Hondurans.
I had purchased a 10 pack a couple years ago. They were corona sized, and they smoked very well for the price I paid. They were nothing special, but for the 3 or 4 bucks I paid I was quite happy.

Then, somebody (name withheld to protect them) offered up a bunch for free because he hated them. Low and behold, I got these newer robusto sized ones in and they suck beyond belief. I cringe in horror just typing this. They approach Tamborils in bile-churning ability.

They are still in their cello because I dare not unleash that beast, even though they are in my give-away stash.

But we digress.
Did you see that the Yankees lost???
