This is a blind taste test wer sent me. We agreed to hold all results until all cigars were tasted to get right to the taste notes and answers without too much chatter to make this easy to read.
All tastes were done on two samples each in an effort to make the results consistent.
All my tastes were done without libations to keep any influence of other tastes out.
Although I have smoked cigars on occasion for at least 30 years, I am fairly new to better cigars and nowhere near expert. This will be my first review:

Very dark maduro beli. (oscuro?) 6.5 X about 52 ring, box pressed.
First look showed these seemed to be more box smashed than pressed. Both were closer to a diamond shape than square. Dark, veiny and a little lumpy the construction seemed poor. Not much pre-light aroma. Loose draw produces large volume of smoke and an even burn. First taste was harsh on the tongue with some woody aroma. After 2" the white/grey ash flaked off and the slightly bitter taste persisted. Dry woody taste with not much else on flavor. Near the end it became hot and a little irritating. Left a bad aftertaste. Lots of power, not much flavor.

OK Bill, what fine cigar have I just trashed??

Sorry if I'm intruding, but I'm gonna guess by what you described, I'm gonna guess it's a Perdomo2 Maduro, maybe a Rhombus. I haven't had too many good Perdomos 😞

Ikon, not intruding at all. Trying to guess is part of the fun.

That was a Flor de Olivia Maduro torpedo. Lots of folks around here really like these. I think they are a solid middle of the road cigar. Too bad you didn't like it, but that's why we're doing blind reviews!
