Smoked one these 5 x 50 beauties today after lunch, and was pleasantly surprized. The review CBid/CI didn't seem to favorable, saying they weren't as great as the Torano Signature of Exodus series, but still good...I disagree, I think they are right up there with the other Torano offerings.

This sucker and the PAM I had Sunday have convinced me that box-pressed cigars don't HAVE to have a sucky burn. The Nic Selection burned even the whole way through with no problems, and the draw was smooth and easy the entire time. And also, this is the first time I've ever agreed with the tasting review a cigar company of CA has given a smoke.

On their website, Torano said of the Nic. Selection...

This medium-bodied cigar possesses a wonderful combination of sweet flavors such as cinnamon and nutmeg. There is a great balance of earthiness and spiceness with a hint of cedar on its smooth finish.

The review was actually dead on! It was medium-bodied, perfect for after lunch or an afternoon smoke. It had an earthy taste, with a very noticeable cedary flavor to it, and it left a spiciness in the back of my mouth that reminded me of my grandma's cinnamon candy.

So, in other words...DON'T BUY THESE! Don't ever bid on them on Cigarbid ever! And if you have any, send them to me immediately so that I can properly dispose of them. I repeat, DON'T BID ON THESE! I'll smoke all of them so that you guys won't have to suffer through such a terrible, terrible smoke 😉.

I second the motion--Don't bid on these cigars!! You will hate them! If you have mistakenly ordered any recently, I will be happy to take such flotsam off your hands and dispose of it properly. In fact, just to be safe, don't bid on any Toranos!

I tried these a while ago and didn't care for them. I figured they were Torano and I couldn't go wrong, but I feel that these didn't hold a candle to the other lines in the Torano family.

Now, if I could just get people to quit bidding on the Signature line.

One thing that is surprising is that CI/Cbid doesn't carry the Reserve Selecta Tubos. These are really creamy and smooth cigars. If you can get your hands on some, they are worth the extra coin.

Actually, GB, I think I have seen the RS on CBids before, though it usually goes real high if I remember 😞

I know its at least been offered with Torano samplers on the Samplers Board.

I have purchased a few 5 packs of the sig tubos from cbid and I agree with GB Nic is the worst Torano I have experienced.

I haven't seen them on CBid, and they aren't offered through CI, except through a sampler. Either way, they are pretty good.
