To the right is the altar with bible, to the left is the square and compass, all under the wood pyramid.

The apron was the one that Brother George Washington wore as Master of the "Lodge at Alexandria" and at the laying of the cornerstone of the National Capitol as seen in the picture.

Maybe those that dont believe religion had any influence in this countries foundation can explain this pic to us.

Also freemasonry is not a religion but to join one MUST believe in a higher power, one that believes in nothing cannot join. Masons are from all walks of life, mainly in the USA we use the bible on the altar in different country’s one would use a different book of faith, but religion and politics is never talked about nor asked in the temple.

John, I didnt say what kind of influence, you assumed.

The book you speak of has the name of God in it, all over the place. So, there is some sort of influence in there. Besides that, I asked someone to explain it here. Why dont you.

We made this country for freedom of religion, but its still one nation under god. Be what ever god you chose, not under Christ as many liberals would like to believe. The majority of Americans just happen to call Jesus Christ as their god, so I guess that’s where the misconceptions come into play.

65gtoman I will bookmark that... my ex Brother-in-law and his dad were masons and asked me many a times of joining their meetings...only once did I go to a meeting...
