These is wierd.

I was just looking at my collection of bands, and noticed something wierd.

All the Romeo y Julieta cigars currently in my humidor say "Romeo y Julieta" across the top part of the oval in the middle of the band, "Medallas de Oro" in the middle of the oval, and "1875" on the bottom half.

But the band I just found in my little collection of bands says "Dominican" at the bottom instead of "1875".

The band is really small, so I thought maybe it was from a Petit Julieta or other mini-sized Romeo, but I don't remember the Petit Julietas I bought months ago having bands on them at all.

Can anyone help me out? Are there two non-ISOM brands of RyJ?

The is the "vintage" line of the RyJ and the regular "1875" line. The vintage line tends to be a little pricier. Also, the RyJ tubos come with a solid gold band which is also present on the ISOM churchills. The black RyJ band is obviously the maduro line. I hope this helps and somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

It wasn't the Vintage line, because it didn't say "Vintage" on the bottom half, it said "Dominican"

Plus, it was just simple red and white, no gold like the Vintage has.

Like I said, it looked just like the Altadis-made RyJ band, with "Dominican" on the bottom half instead of "1875"

it may be an older one before they were made by Ataldis.
