Morro Castle has been a closeout since production was ended in 1998. It was a brand of Kevin Doyle's Caribbean Cigar Company. Many years ago the entire inventory was sold to the largest cigar retailer/wholesaler in the United States. Caribbean is the same company that made Signature Collection by Santiago Cabana, Havana Classico, Calle Ocho, Rum Runner, Domino Park, Free Cuba, West Indies Vanilla, Island Amaretto, Celestino Vega, and Regalos.

Some of the brands are now being manufactured by others. Caribbean was subject to a major class action lawsuit filed in 1997. Here's a reference to the litigation: Look down the page for the abstract.
