What do you folks use to cut the big ring cigars? My cutters seem only to go to 52 gage or so and won't do for the 54-60 gage that are available.

If there's ever a cigar that won't fit in my cutter, I just break out a punch cutter or maybe a V-cutter

I've been stuck a long ways from anywhere without proper tools a lot of times in my young life ... I've opened wine bottles by turning a wood screw into the cork and then pulling it out with vise grips and cut cigars a number of crazy ways, including one time in which I used my nail clippers ...

What Slim and Steve said. Thats all I use now and keep it on me even when I'm not smoking cigars. Now, not to threadjack but...Do any of you know where I can get a case for it? I have the "Luxury Tool" one and can't find a belt case that fits it. Thanks in advance.

Almost all of my cigars are 54 and larger. I just cut the very top of the cap with my cutter. I press it onto the head and shave off a thin layer.

I have several punch cutters but don't really use them much. Not a big enough hole. If you smoke a torp or piramide, you're all set. Just don't waste too much of the stick cutting too much off.

either cut it at an angle or use a band saw.

I'm gonna have to break down a buy one of these cutter thing-a-ma-jig's.

I thought I had it all down with my own system. I open a door and then stick whateven end into the doorjam. Slam the door real hard. Smoke. Sometimes I have a beli, sometimes I have a torp. Either way, I haven't cut myself yet!

Let me guess Doc, you're not a cardiologist. If you were you would have 75 cutters of every size and shape, have them all checked twice daily for contamination, sharpness etc and would have at least 800 references as to which cutter to use when. Hey, I'm not being critical, if it's my wifes heart that's who I want.
